This is my journey to become a healthier me. It began on January 26, 2010 and stalled out... I got a type 2 diabetes diagnosis on March 30, 2022 and started to focus on my health again. On November 8, 2022 I added Ozempic to my toolbox to help me shed some pounds and inches!

Every Little Bit Counts

So, I weighed in today and I'm down 0.4lbs. That perplexes me a little, since I've been letter perfect. I am actually wondering if my scale needs recalibrating. It's more than ten years ago- I was actually using the same scale in my previous NS journey. Definitely something to look into, if only for peace of mind.

On the other hand, there are lots of reasons that weight loss can stall. I will be up front that because of my health I am a very sedentary person, and that while I used to drink a lot of water, I don't as much any more. I am definitely not consuming 64oz per day.

My Fitbit tracks me burning about 2,400 calories per day, so at 1,400 and below I should be losing 2 pounds per week. I wasn't expecting a stall at this point in my journey with so much to lose. While I don't mind taking things slowly this time- I don't want to miss out on special occasions or living my life because of the number on the scale- I will admit that it hurts just a little bit when I've been bang on, not to see results.

But here are some pics that show why weight loss can be in little bursts and not steady. I know if I just keep doing what I'm doing, the weight will come off.

So maybe my cells are waiting for me to indulge! Hate to disappoint them, but I don't have anything planned for the next few weeks. ! don't really celebrate Hallmark holidays so I won't be going out for Valentine's Day. I'm just going to keep plugging away, one pound at a time.

How did you do this week? Feeling motivated or a little down?
